Event FAQ
How Otterthon works
Gather support
Swimmers invite friends and family to support their swim with a flat donation or a pledge for each lap.
Swim laps
During the event, Otters swim as many laps as they can in a one-hour swim. One lap is two lengths of the pool, or 50 yards.
Count the laps
After the swim, laps are totaled and per-lap pledges can be calculated. For example, 20 laps at $1 per lap is a $20 donation.

Prize Ladder
Gift cards cannot be split between two stores. Each swimmer receives only the reward for their highest tier achieved; prizes do not stack. Element Graphics team-store gift cards can be used across team-store opening months.
