OTTERTHON Exec Board 2016
Who we are...
OTTERTHON is a year long fundraiser at Otterbein University that benefits our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
We conclude our efforts with a 10-hour Dance Marathon to honor the patients and families treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and to celebrate the efforts of the Otterbein University community working to raise support for the cause.
More than just an organization...
OTTERTHON is more than just a student organization; it is a commitment to something greater than our individual experiences at Otterbein University. Our organization is part of a national movement of one generation fighting for the next as we raise funds and awareness for our local hospital on campus and in the community.

OTTERTHON is one of over 150 schools across the country who are apart of Miracle Network Dance Marathon and raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. In the spring of 2018, students, faculty, staff and members of the Otterbein community will stay on their feet for 10 hours dancing, playing games and participating in activities and entertainment to celebrate the total amount raised in fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Why stay on your feel for that long? To quote the first Children’s Dance Marathon’s mission statement: “We dance for those who can’t.” It is the solidarity to and connection with the cause that makes Dance Marathon an event unlike any other. Our cause is real, local and inspiring -- it’s “For the Kids”
Our mission is to raise funds and spread awareness within the quiet, peaceful village of Otterbein University to provide emotional and financial support for children and their families treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We are this generation fighting for the next.
Our vision aligns with the Miracle Network Dance Marathon vision: Together we save kids lives.
